Dignitaries ride first bus to the new commuter terminal.
The “Palmdale Flyer,” a new bus service connecting Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys to LA/Palmdale Airport starts Wednesday.
Join Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, Palmdale Mayor James C. Ledford, Mayor, Santa Clarita Mayor Bob Kellar, Lancaster Mayor Henry Hearns, representatives from Los Angeles World Airports and from KHTS AM-1220 HomeTown Station for the inaugural run of the Palmdale Flyer Bus.
Get on the bus at 9 a.m. at the Via Princessa Metrolink Station at 19201 Via Princessa, Santa Clarita for a ride to the LA/Palmdale Regional Airport at 41000 N. 20th St. East. The bus should arrive at the airport at 9:45 a.m. The new service aims to provide travelers with a free, convenient, and reliable alternative to commuting to LAX.
To help promote the new service, two roundtrip tickets from LA/Palmdale Regional Airport to San Francisco International Airport and $100 spending cash will be awarded to the winners of KHTS AM 1220’s radio contest. Fashioned after the successful LAX “FlyAway” service administered by Los Angeles World Airports, the Palmdale Flyer will connect LA /Palmdale Airport (PMD) with the Via Princessa Metrolink Station and the Van Nuys FlyAway Bus Terminal at 7610 Woodley Avenue.
