Pardee homes is a big company with offices here in Santa Clarita, and every year, each office has some money set aside for a holiday luncheon. Only they never have a luncheon.

Instead, the offices donate the money to local charities, and this year, they were the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita, and the SCV Food Pantry.

This afternoon, Jim Bizzelle presented a check for $4,000 on behalf of him and his staff to the Domestic Violence Center, where it will go to benefit the people who seek education and resource from violent scenarios in their lives.

In addition, Pardee Employees gathered money amongst themselves and bought gift cards that the center recommended.

Also, Pardee’s parent company, Weyerhaeuser, has a foundation called Making WAVES that will donate money to any volunteer activity that includes at least 10 employees. Since this qualifies, the Domestic Violence Center will receive additional funds from that program.
