Parks And Rec Launches New Online Registration System

The Santa Clarita Parks and Recreation Department has launched a new online recreation system that will allow residents to easily search our and register for upcoming classes. Community members can explore the new “Rec1” system before registration opens at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

“Registering for the City’s popular recreation classes just got easier,’ said Santa Clarita Mayor Bob Kellar. “Thanks to this new user-friendly software, residents have an extensive search option that provides a simple and efficient way to browse through the City’s parks, recreation and community service programs.”

Rec1 allows users to narrow their online search to what classes and programs may best fit their needs. Classes can now be searched for under categories such as aquatics, camps, events, youth, and seniors, or by the facility nearest you.

Residents interested in registering online for new classes must create a new account in Rec1 before they can register for spring classes and programs. To view the new spring 2013 Seasons magazine, visit www.santa-clarita.com/seasons.
