Paseo Bridge Repair To Alter Traffic On McBean At Night

khts_trafficalertNighttime traffic on McBean Parkway will be temporarily diverted so county crews can repair the pedestrian bridge near the YMCA.

The Los Angeles County Bridge Maintenance Crew will be working between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. to avoid disrupting busy daytime travel and is expected to last through April.

Two lanes of traffic will be closed on McBean Parkway near the YMCA entrance and Gamble House Court during construction hours. The pedestrian bridge will be accessible to the public during the majority of the construction.

“Repairs to the McBean Parkway Pedestrian Paseo Bridge include replacing the middle span beams of the bridge,” said Santa Clarita Mayor Laurene Weste. “The City sincerely appreciates the community’s patience during this construction project, which will help to ensure optimal safety for local families and YMCA visitors utilizing the Pedestrian Paseo Bridge.”
