Series to Begin Saturday

Summertime in the Santa Clarita Valley would not be the same without the City’s highly acclaimed Annual Summer Concert Series at Central Park beginning every Saturday at 7:00 p.m. staring July 7 and continuing until August 25.    

The free summer concert series is an all-ages event for everyone in the family to enjoy.  

 “The City’s Concerts in the Park continue to attract large crowds every year as family, friends, and neighbors sing and dance the night away to great concerts while enjoying the best of what summer has to offer in the Santa Clarita Valley,” commented Mayor Marsha McLean.
 
This year, the series promises to be the most electrifying with sweet rhythm and smooth blues, Latin-rock, 80’s pop, 90’s hip hop, disco revival, and music that will blast you into the past.

Bands scheduled to cover celebrated music of the past include: Back Pages, Teresa James & the Rhythm Tramps, Savor, Hotel California, Captain Cardiac and the Coronaries, Spazmatics, Platinum Groove, and Boogie Knights.

Parking space is limited and those attending are encouraged to arrive early. Videotaping, barbeques, alcoholic beverages, and smoking are not permitted at the event.

Food and beverages will be available to enjoy while dancing under the stars.
Central Park is located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road.

The City of Santa Clarita began hosting the summer concerts in 1989, as an effort to unite the community for a night of summer entertainment.  For more than 17 years, it has delivered family and community leisure and musical relaxation for the city of Santa Clarita.
