Accident claims one life in SCV

[view:node_ad=5]The California Highway Patrol has confirmed that a pedestrian has been killed after being involved in an accident in Stevenson Ranch Wednesday afternoon.

According to the CHP's report, a 70 year old man was riding a bicycle in a crosswalk on Stevenson Ranch Parkway. A 20 year old man driving a newer model Chevrolet failed to yield at the crosswalk, and struck the man, ejecting him from the bicycle. He was transported to Henry Mayo Hospital, but he passed away. The cause of death has been attributed to head, neck, chest and airway trauma. 

 

As for the driver, unknown charges are pending, according to the CHP.
