Thursdays at Newhall will host the latest “ArtSLAM and JAM session” on Main Street in Old Town Newhall Thursday starting at 6 p.m. It’s a family-friendly evening of art, dance and music. ThisJAM Session features a drum circle led by Christopher Ramirez, starting at 7:30. Admission is free, so get rhythm at the ArtSLAM and JAM.
On Friday night the Valencia Jazz & Blues summer series presents Kelly’s Lot. The full-tilt boogie blues-rockers have cut 11 albums and toured the world over the past two decades. Showtime for Kelly’s Lot is 7 p.m. on the street outside the Hyatt Regency off McBean Parkway, and admission is free.

Finally, red-hot local punkabilly blues trio Hard Six have at long last released their third album, titled “Haunted Ride.” You can get it on CD Baby, among other places; check the band’s website.
Hard Six actually sneak-previewed the title track and another tune, “Heartbreaker,” right here on SCVTV, at the end of “House Blend” Season 4, like a year and a half ago.
