Thursdays at Newhall will host the latest “ArtSLAM and JAM session” on Main Street in Old Town Newhall Thursday starting at 6 p.m. It’s a family-friendly evening of art, dance and music. ThisJAM Session features a drum circle led by Christopher Ramirez, starting at 7:30. Admission is free, so get rhythm at the ArtSLAM and JAM.

On Friday night the Valencia Jazz & Blues summer series presents Kelly’s Lot. The full-tilt boogie blues-rockers have cut 11 albums and toured the world over the past two decades. Showtime for Kelly’s Lot is 7 p.m. on the street outside the Hyatt Regency off McBean Parkway, and admission is free.

Saturday is the big 4^th of July parade in Newhall, with SCVTV’s own Leon Worden, also a noted SCV historian and longtime parade organizer, serving as Grand Marshal this year. Get all the details including traffic info at scvnews.com.

Finally, red-hot local punkabilly blues trio Hard Six have at long last released their third album, titled “Haunted Ride.” You can get it on CD Baby, among other places; check the band’s website.

Hard Six actually sneak-previewed the title track and another tune, “Heartbreaker,” right here on SCVTV, at the end of “House Blend” Season 4, like a year and a half ago. This Saturdaynight, we’re presenting an encore of that show, hosted by yours truly. That’s Hard Six on “House Blend” Saturday night at 10 here on SCVTV and streaming at scvtv.com.
