UPDATED 1:38 p.m. A small plane made an emergency landing in the Potrero Canyon area behind West Ranch High School at approximately 1 p.m.

Fire department officials reported that the pilot filed a distress call before putting the plane down in the canyon. The pilot and his passenger were found, unharmed, walking near the intersection of Westridge Parkway and Boulder Crest Lane in Westridge.
