Planning Started For Next Year’s Discovering Careers Expo

[view:node_ad=5]Planning is already underway for Discovering Careers-2009, a hands-on career exploration expo sponsored by the SCV School & Business Alliance in conjunction with Hart High School District, College of the Canyons, the City of Santa Clarita, and local businesses and non-profit organizations.

This year’s event is planned for Saturday, April 25, at College of the Canyons. The School & Business Alliance coordinates the event, and displays and hands-on activities are organized by local businesses. The activities are geared toward helping young people aged 5 to 20 to explore possible future careers by participating in hands-on activities.

Some 2,500 visitors attended last year’s inaugural event.

Individuals, businesses or organizations interested in helping with planning this year’s event can contact Jim Briece at (661) 259-0033, extension 476, or log on to www.hartdistrict.org/discover.
