The evening will include a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament, exclusive silent auction, cigar area, raffle, and live music.  Players will compete for prizes including gift
certificates, trips, and airline tickets.  The grand prize is an entry into the World Series of Poker 2012, two roundtrip tickets on Southwest, and a Vegas hotel stay.

Those who have not fine-tuned their poker faces can still enjoy an Italian dinner with wine and try their luck at the blackjack and roulette tables.  Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on exclusive packages including sporting events, movie baskets, an aerial scenic tour, autographed posters/scripts and musical instruments, VIP tickets to Jimmy Kimmel LIVE, and Real Time with Bill Maher.

“We’re excited to be moving The 5th Annual Hold ‘Em Not Hassle ‘Em event to a bigger
space, allowing us to reach more players and add more elements to an already
successful event,” said Santa Clarita Valley Youth Project executive director, Kim
Goldman.”

Proceeds benefit the SCV Youth Project, a non-profit organization that has provided critical services to teens in the SCV for more than 11 years, running programs throughout six high school and seven junior high school campuses in the William S. Hart School District.  During the 2010/2011 school year, the Youth Project assisted more than 2,000 youth in the Santa Clarita Valley with a variety of serious life challenges, including depression, suicide, grief/loss, peer pressure and drug/alcohol abuse and provided more than 4,000 hours of support.

The event has raised more than $30,000 annually for the Santa Clarita Youth Project, but this year, they are aiming for $50,000.

On October 15, check-in and the silent auction will begin at 5:00 p.m.  The tournament starts at 6:00.  Tickets are $100 before September 15, $125 after September 15, and $40 for non-playing guests.

The Gateway Promenade is located at 28738 The Old Road, Valencia.

Sponsorships are available from $250 to $5,000.  Sponsors Include: Chiquita Canyon Landfill, Danica Lynch (TriStar Mortgages), Gregg Goodman Farmers Insurance Agency, Inc., KHTS Hometown Station, Infinity Wealth Management, Italia Panetteria and Deli, Morgan MacDougall Productions, Nancy Starczyk (Realty Executives), Rituals Colour Salon, Santa Clarita Soccer Center, SCV Poker League, SCVTV, Southland Regional Association of Realtors, QM Designs and Vanacore Music.
