Santa Clarita residents are invited to attend a candidates’ forum hosted by SCVi Charter School and iLEAD Simi Valley, the founding campus of iLEAD Schools.

All four candidates running in the June 7 primary for the 38th Assembly District seat will be there, Christy Smith running as a Democrat and Dante Acosta, Jarrod DeGonia, and Tyler Izen running as republicans.
Candidates will be there to share with the public their views on a variety of topics.
The event is set to be held at 1p.m. on Friday, June 3 but doors open at 12:30 at the Shakespeare Theatre at SCVi, 28060 Hasley Canyon Road, Castaic, CA 91384.

During the primary, Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders will compete for electoral college votes in the state and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump will attempt to gather the votes needed to secure an uncontested convention.

Experienced moderator will be Jessica Boyer, and a panel of four community members will be asking the questions at the local candidate forum.
This forum is an opportunity for the people of the 38th District to hear from the candidates about issues important to them. All are welcome to attend.
Questions for the candidates can be submitted in advance to sara.brown@ileadschools.org, prior to Wednesday, June 1.
