A new update in the vote count has been announced by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk after the June 7 California Primary.

County Registrar-Recorder and County Clerk Dean Logan announced the fifth ballot counting update for the election on Friday.
The update includes 47,446 ballots processed since Election Night, consisting of 473 Vote by Mail ballots and 46,973 precinct ballots. The total election results count is now at 1,889,065 which is 39.3% of eligible Los Angeles County voters.
The estimated outstanding unprocessed ballots are:
Outstanding Unprocessed Provisional Ballots: 174,353
Outstanding Unprocessed Vote By Mail Ballots: 1,530
Outstanding Unprocessed Miscellaneous Ballots: 3,005
Miscellaneous Ballots are ballots that are damaged, need to be remade, or require further review.

On July 1, the county registrar is scheduled to certify the election results. On July 5, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to declare the election results official.
