The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday that former President Barack Obama is making a campaign stop in Southern California, and is set to be joined on-stage by Democratic congressional candidate, Katie Hill.

The Times said that Obama plans to make a stop Saturday in Orange County to back seven Congressional candidates bidding for seats in Southern California.
Obama is expected to be joined by Democratic candidates Josh Harder, who is running against Rep. Jeff Denham of Turlock; T.J. Cox, challenging Rep. David Valadao of Hanford; Gil Cisneros, looking to replace retiring Rep. Ed Royce of Fullerton; Katie Porter, challenging Rep. Mimi Walters of Laguna Beach; Harley Rouda, who is opposing Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of Costa Mesa; Mike Levin, who is hoping to replace retiring Rep. Darrell Issa of Vista; and Katie Hill, who is looking to unseat Rep. Steve Knight, according to the Times.
This event — marking Obama’s trip and first stump speech in the 2018 Midterm race — comes at a time when there is a Democratic push in Republican-held districts that Hillary Clinton won in 2016, according to officials.
In order for Democrats to take back control in the House, they need to pick up 23 seats nationwide in November.

Obama had previously released endorsements for the listed candidates in August, and Saturday’s event is part of a “focused, strategic” lineup of fall campaign appearances, a spokeswoman told the Times.

Rep. Steve Knight, who always votes against gun safety reform, thinks social security is a bad idea and voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act does not represent my, yours or your family’s needs. Wow are you liberal nut jobs really this crazy? Barack almost decimated this country and killed too world leaders with his cowardness ways. What did he do? Passed a health care plan that Pelosi said you have to pass before you read it. That’s smart. That plan over 10 years would’ve bankrupt this country. He never had 1full year of GDP growth above 3.0. Trump is on pace to accomplish maybe a 3.5 or even a 4.0 in his 1st full year. Not to mention the jobs coming back. Denny if that’s a real person says knight goes against safer gun control laws then Sogal says that they’re sworn in to uphold the constitution. If either of them knew the constitution than they’d realize the Democrats have denied people of the 2nd ammendment rights with all the laws currently in place. There’s already over 22,000 anti gun laws. What others can you have that would prevent just 1 homicide. It’s illegal to kill yet people do. More than 2x’s more die from alcohol, opioids and over 3x’s more die from Dr’s than all the gun deaths. BTW, 65% of gun deaths are suicide, 15% from law enforcement tragedies 3% from child accidents and the rest afew gang related and or violent crime. As a law abiding gun owner with a permit to carry no one ever knows I’m carrying and he’s I’ve had to pull it twice. Luckily I never had to fire a round but did save my family from violent home invasion and another time preventing a rape from happening. Now tell me that you want more anti gun laws. The dems have taken that right and not upheld their constitutional rights of everyone who is a law abiding citizen their rights. All the dems promise is what? In the first place you invalidate anything else you may say when you question if I am really a real person. Do you think my post just appeared out of the vapor, much as your opinions seem to? As a suggestion, before forming an opinion, you may want to fact check yourself. I stated three sound reasons not to support Knight. They are beyond dispute, as they are stated in his voting record. Because of that record, I will not support him and those facts form my opinion, not the other way around.
The rest of your post went downhill from there but I’m not wasting my time arguing with a fool. Just as another example though, nobody is after your guns. Gun safety is the point. Also, the only time the government confiscated firearms was under the GW Bush administration following his complete mishandling of the disaster following hurricane Katrina.
