“After much thought, I decided to go for it one more time,” said Kellar. “I’ve enjoyed (being on the Santa Clarita City Council).”

Kellar noted that he would like to see the completion of issues he has been involved with, such as CEMEX, the Whittaker-Bermite property clean up and the drought, he said.

“There are some issues that I’ve been involved with for a long period of time and I hope to be successful,” said Kellar. “CEMEX is not completely done, I definitely would like to continue with that.”

Kellar will formally announce that he will be seeking re-election at Robinson Ranch on Thursday, Nov. 12.

Bob Kellar joined the city of Santa Clarita as a first-term council member in April 2000 and served as Mayor in 2004, 2008 and again in 2013, according to the city’s website.
