An official for the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder’s Office noted that requested ballots are still being mailed out, but they should be in their mailboxes shortly.

While conspiracists might enjoy debating why portions of the Santa Clarita Valley have already received their ballots while many others wait, county officials noted that as of Friday morning, there were still about 400,000 ballots to be mailed.

That’s the likely reason some Saugus residents are reporting they’ve seen theirs, while parts of Canyon Country and Valencia have not.

“It’s a coordinated mailing,” said Brenda Duran, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder Office. “As of today we’ve mailed out about 4.7 million. We have about 5.1 million to go out (total).”

If someone has questions, they can check to make sure their address is registered online, by clicking here.

“If anyone has concerns about their sample ballot, they should contact us,” Duran said, “but they should also be aware that we are still sending them out in batches.”

The nearest election office listed for LAVote.net is in the Antelope Valley, at the following address: 44509 16th St. West, Suite 101, Lancaster, 661-945-6446.

  1. Our household has four registered voters. The registered Independent and Democrat received their ballots about two weeks ago. The two registered Republicans have not received their ballots and are still waiting. If the county is mailing out in “batches” those batches would appear to be more related to party identification and not location. County needs a better explanation to remain credible.

    • The two registered republicans in this household received theirs at the same time as one democrat. But there was another democrat registered at our home where their sample ballot didn’t come until about a few days later. I’d take off the tin foil hat before making any claims or hinting that there is some conspiracy related to party identification and sample ballots being mailed out.
