Santa Clarita local elections results are in. Ballots included candidates for Saugus, Sulphur Springs and Newhall School District board members, as well as Newhall County Water District board members.

Saugus Union School District Election Results

Saugus Union School District

There are 58,989 registered voters. The following results are based on 100 percent of the district reporting.

*JUDY EGAN UMECK (Director of Admissions) – 2,328 votes 26.96 percent

*PAUL NELSON DE LA CERDA (Businessowner/Educator/Boardmember) – 2,078 votes 24.06 percent 

*DOUGLAS A. BRYCE (Quality Engineer) – 1,678 votes 19.43 percent

CHRIS TRUNKEY (Chief Financial Officer) – 1,629 votes 18.86 percent 

STACIE L. ALLEGRA (Domestic Engineer) –  923 votes 10.69 percent

There are 31,711 registered voters. The following results are based on 100 percent of the district reporting.

KEN CHASE (Certified Management Accountant) – 1,263 votes 28.47 percent

*LORI B. MACDONALD (Appointed Incumbent) – 1,140 votes 25.69 percent

*KERRY B. CLEGG (Incumbent) – 1,139 votes 23.42 percent

*MICHAEL P. HOGAN (Governing Board Member) – 995 votes 22.43 percent

There are 40,158 registered voters. The following results are based on 96.15 percent of the districts reporting.

*CHRISTY SMITH (Governing Board Member) – 1,718 votes 28.09 percent

*PHILIP C. ELLIS, JR. (Governing Board Member) – 1,548 votes 25.31 percent

*BRIAN D. WALTERS (Governing Board Member) – 1,534 votes 25.09

SANDRA LOUISE BULL (Retired Assistant Principal) – 1,315 votes 21.5 percent
