Tuesday marks the end of a monthslong race, as candidates vie for three seats in an election expected to be extremely close.

There are 13 candidates on the ballot. Their names are Dante Acosta, Sandy Bull, Moazzum Chowdhury, Dennis Conn, Stephen Daniels, Alan Ferdman, Berta Gonzalez-Harper, Maria Gutzeit, Duane Harte, Marsha McLean, Gloria Mercado-Fortine, Laurene Weste and Paul Wieczorek.

“We will be live from City Hall, starting at 7:30 p.m., so you’ll be able to see the process as it’s going on,” said Megan Perez, production manager for the Santa Clarita Valley’s only television station, SCVTV. “We’ll actually be in Council Chambers where they’re counting the ballots.”

The coverage will be anchored by “SCV Today” hosts Tami Edwards and Dave Caldwell.

The two will also be conducting live interviews with city staffers and others involved in the election.

The results can also be tracked live on HometownStation.com.

KHTS AM-1220 hosted a candidate forum with SCVTV, The Signal and Cougar News back in February, when the candidates discussed their views on billboards, a permanent homeless shelter, the role of city government and even a surprise question on city expansion from outgoing City Councilman Frank Ferry.
