AB 240 will allow recipients of Purple Heart, Pearl Harbor Survivor, Ex-Prisoner of War, Congressional Medal of Honor, Gold Star Family, and Legion of Valor license plates free entrance to all California State Parks every day.
“Our country’s war heroes fought for our freedom and in some cases paid the ultimate sacrifice for that freedom. Allowing complimentary entry to our state’s incredible park system is an honorable way to thank veterans and their family members for their service and sacrifice.” Wilk said. “AB 240 accomplishes this without costing the state additional resources.”
Wilk’s other bill, AB 624, would permit licensed and certified appraisers to complete appraisals for non-federally related transactions in compliance with recognized valuation standards other than USPAP, with the consent of the client and if the standards are properly identified in the appraisal report.
Next, AB 240 and AB 624 will be heard on the Assembly Floor.
The 38th Assembly District encompasses Simi Valley, the northwestern section of the San Fernando Valley and most of the Santa Clarita Valley.
