Earlier accident leaves homes without electricity.

A car accident just after 2:00 a.m. on Sand Canyon Road and Alamo Canyon is still affecting some homeowners in the area.  A vehicle collided with a power pole, which caused several homes to lose power and even forced the closure of Sand Canyon Rd..

Sand Canyon Rd. will be closed until about 4:00 p.m., at which time motorists should use the following detour:

Live Oak Springs Rd. to Circle G Rd. to Condor Ridge Rd., which has access to Sand Canyon Rd.
Power remains out for three Edison customers, and it should be restored by 4:00 p.m.
