There is a widespread power outage affecting Newhall. The affected areas include communities off Sierra Highway near Rainbow Glen. Senic Hills and portions of Friendly Valley are in the outage zone. Those areas are considered part of Newhall.
Southern California Edison has multiple crews working to correct the problem.
It is not known at this time how long the power will be out.
More info will be posted as we get it.
The Newhall power failure extends over to the I5 and Calgrove area as well.
Friendly valley has been without power effecting elderly people who are in need of medical equipment that requires electricity
There is currently a power outage @ Greenbrier Mobile Home Park in Canyon Country as well. Edison states expect power to be restored by 9:30 p.m.
