UPDATE: Edison has estimated that all customers should regain power by 10:30 p.m. Monday night.

Around 9:18pm on Monday night, the power went out in Saugus. Homes near Highlands Elementry lost power, and as of 10:22pm crews are still working to find the problem. An Edison rep. said it was most likely a downed circuit.

Also about 1,300 Canyon Country customers lost power during today's storm.

Southern California Edison reports that they experienced a circuit interruption just before 1:00 p.m. that knocked out power to 1,357 customers north of Soledad Canyon Rd. and east of Ruether Dr. in Canyon Country.

Within one hour, nearly 600 customers had seen power restored, however the rest were still without.

Edison could not estimate when power could be restored to the remaining customers because they did not know what caused the initial problem.
