The center currently leases a small office on Valencia Blvd and has purchased a medical space that’s currently under construction off Newhall Ranch Roach. The construction is expected to be finalized the first quarter of 2018.

Santa Clarita Pregnancy Center officials announced an ambitious fundraising campaign titled “Building on Foundations for Life,” with a goal of raising $1,775,000.

As a part of this expansion, the Santa Clarita Pregnancy Center will offer longer hours and increased services to meet the demands of a growing Santa Clarita Valley.

The center offers engaging and comprehensive counseling services while providing relevant medical services to those facing unplanned pregnancy and sexual health decisions. In addition, the center offers STI testing and treatment, pregnancy confirmations, same-day appointments, sexual health education, HIV screenings and life skills education.

“We have been proud to offer these services to our community the last 30 years,” said Angela Bennett, CEO of the Santa Clarita Pregnancy Center. “The new facility will be more cost effective than our leased office, and provide space to offer additional services, which our clients often describe as life-saving in the midst of life-changing decisions.”

Tom Dierckman, a longtime Santa Clarita resident and 2012 Man of the Year, is the Capital Campaign Chair.

“This organization is very important to my wife, Sandy, and I,” Dierckman said. “We look forward to helping expand the center’s life-saving work, which we see as essential for our community.”

  1. Does this business provide or support abortion? This is an important fact this article should include before asking for donations.

    • Thank you for mentioning that.
They do NOT. I had a friend when we were 19 that wanted to explore her options and saw their ad. Once we went she had been told in a “celebratory” manner that she was going to have a baby. When she inquired about the option of abortion she was essentially demonized and the topic of adoption was then the focul point. No resources were offered, or any accurate information on the abortion option. Only harsh and misleading deterants. “If you abort you most likely won’t be able to have a baby in the future” “sometimes they dont get it all out, and you can die from infection”
Horrible things to tell a scared young women looking for unbiased facts and options.
I appreciate their views, but feel options need to be properly offered, or at least advertise your a pro life facility… and just be kind. These girls are scared.

      • Jen, I’m truly heartbroken that this was your experience. You’re right, that does not sound like a compassionate approach. You’re also right, that it is horrible to instill more fear in women and men who are already feeling scared and vulnerable.
Our method of approach is quite the opposite – to empower women and provide hope to make a decision they can look back on in the future with confidence.
I am the Client Services Director for the SCV Pregnancy Center and the information that we give regarding the option of abortion specifically is 100% derived from medically accurate resources and nationally recognized institutions. We do not believe in undermining the grief that a client could feel by her pregnancy in trying to act celebratory towards her. We have an abundant amount of resources and referrals available to all our clients no matter what they decide. And, what they decide, is 100% their decision. It is not a goal of ours to manipulate or dissuade the autonomy a client has in making her decision.
Again, I’m so saddened that this was your experience. We take all of our client’s comments about our services very seriously. If you would ever like to discuss this further, or even have a tour of our center, please call me at the office: 661-255-0082.
