Deputies found narcotics paraphernalia at the location and the sawed-off shotgun. The barrel had been shortened to 9 inches, with the gun only 13 inches in overall length. In addition, the serial number had been filed off of the gun.
Schienle was arrested on suspicion of possession of a sawed-off, shortened shotgun, possession of a firearm by a felon, obliteration of the shotgun’s serial number and possession of ammunition by a felon. He is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail at Santa Clarita Valley station and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
Schienle was arrested in June 2011 during a raid on a flophouse on Rainbow Glen Drive in Canyon Country. Read that story here.
