Providence Holy Cross Medical Center will add a four-story, 101-bed patient care building to help with an escalating need for health care services in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The facility will be the second largest acute care hospital in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys. This $116 million project includes expanding the intensive care unit, surgery, the gastroenterology lab and other services on the Providence Holy Cross campus. In addition, the new patient care building will include a new chapel and Women’s Pavilion that features labor and delivery and postpartum suites, and a 12-bed neonatal intensive care unit. Construction is scheduled for summer 2007 with completion by 2010. Providence Holy Cross will grow from a 254-bed facility to a medical center with 355 licensed beds.
