Michael Pin, M.D., a family practitioner in our community for more than 25 years, opened a new Providence Medical Institute office at the Bridgeport Marketplace Monday, bringing his long-time primary care, urgent care and employer health to the heart of the city.
“We are so happy to be here in a location convenient to all the communities we serve here in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Dr. Pin, who was joined recently in his practice by Erik Bezema, M.D., also a board-certified family practitioner.
“There will be a new and improved Health Record program, which allows patients to communicate with their doctor and access records and tests online,” said Patricia Aidem, Media Liason for Providence Medical. “This system will come to all Providence hospitals in a few years but will be coming to Bridgeport this March.”
The new location provides for 2,000 more square feet, for a total of 5,300 square feet, and includes five additional exam rooms, for a total of 13 exam rooms, Aidem Said.
Dr. Pin and Providence Medical Institute have been recognized the past four years by the U.S. Commerce Association as the community’s “Best Family Practice Doctor.”
Santa Clarita PMI provides family care, urgent care, screenings, treatment of work-related injuries, X-rays onsite, a procedure room and a state-of-the-art electronic health record system that includes secure patient access.
As is Providence’s tradition, Sr. Colleen Settles, OP, led a blessing Thursday night of the new and much larger quarters an anointed the hands of the medical staff and office workers.
The new office is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and is at 24035 Newhall Ranch Road. Information is available by calling (661) 291-3444 or by logging onto www.providencemedicalinstitute.org.
