A champagne reception was held to honor Providence Holy Cross Medical Center’s partnership with SCV based Health Center
Last night, November 1st, both Providence Holy Cross and Samuel Dixon Family Health Center officials gathered for a champagne reception, recognizing the hospital’s partnership with the local health center.
Providence offered free laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, amounting to tens of thousands of dollars, for patients of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers in Val Verde, Canyon Country and Newhall.
During the night, several teenage patients of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers showed their appreciation by presenting bouquets to Providence Holy Cross representatives.
More than 20 years ago, Rev. Samuel Dixon founded the original health center in Val Verde. Today, the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers are located in Canyon Country and Val Verde, with a part-time clinic in Newhall. They are the only health centers founded and based in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The health centers provide more than 8,000 medical appointments a year and offer health services on a sliding fee scale, based on the individual’s ability to pay.
As part of its mission to provide medical care to the poor and vulnerable, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center provides free laboratory and diagnostic imaging services to patients of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers.
