Bob Bresnick, 67, was found in his car near a home her shared with his significant other, Donna Fink, on Iron Canyon Road.

Fink contacted KHTS AM-1220 shortly after she was separated from Bresnick around 3 p.m. Friday. She said they already received the evacuation order, but became separated.

The body of Bresnick, a retired industrial engineer with the United States Air Force, was found several hours laters by residents checking on the neighborhood.

Coroner’s officials reported Bresnick was warned to leave his home.

“Fire officials warned the man to evacuate several times,” according to Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the Coroner’s Office.

The man reportedly said he was going back to get his keys and some personal items, walked back to his car, and that was the last time he was seen, Winter said.

Bresnick’s badly burned body was found in his car, Winter said.

  1. This was Saturday not Friday. I think you need to edit your post.

  2. Was he burned in the car or was he burned before he was in the car ? With his background I’d expect
him to be more aware of the danger and act accordingly. RIP Did his house also burn? It is not
    obvious in the picture.
