Record Number Of Seniors Expected To Graduate

Several ceremonies scheduled. 

The Hart District is once again expecting a record number of seniors to graduate, in ceremonies running from June 4 to 8 across the valley.

 

The district currently lists 3380 seniors, compared to only 3060 seniors at the same time last year. This year’s graduation exercises are scheduled as follows:

 

Monday, June 4 – Valencia High School, 7:30 p.m. at College of the Canyons.

 

Tuesday, June 5 – Hart High School, 7 p.m. at COC; Learning Post, 6:30 p.m., Hart Auditorium.

 

Wednesday, June 6 – Canyon High School, 7:30 p.m., COC; Golden Oak Adult School, 7 p.m., Hart Auditorium; Bowman High School, 6 p.m., Bowman quad.

 

Thursday, June 7 – Saugus High School, 7 p.m. COC; Golden Valley High School, 7 p.m., Golden Valley Amphitheater; Sequoia Charter School, 1 p.m., Santa Clarita Activities Center

 

Friday, June 8 – Academy of the Canyons, 9 a.m. COC Honor Grove.

Junior high school eighth grade promotion ceremonies also are scheduled on Wednesday and

 

Thursday, June 6 and 7. Many of the junior high schools schedule multiple graduations by team in order to accommodate large audiences of family members in smaller indoor venues.

 

The school year officially ends on Thursday, June 7 and summer school starts Monday, June 18.
