Red Flag Warning Extended Through Sunday Night

Low humidity and high heat combine for potential fire weather.

The red flag warning has now been extended through Sunday
evening across the mountains and valleys of Los Angeles
and Ventura Counties
due to an extended period of single-digit humidity.

In addition, humidity
recoveries each night will remain very poor across the warning area, as low as
10 to 20 percent across most mountain and foothill locations.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather
conditions are occurring, including a combination of low relative humidity and
very warm temperatures.
