Red flag warning in effect on Buckweed Fire anniversary.
A Red Flag warning is in effect for Southern
California due to gusty Northeast winds and very low relative
humidity.

Offshore winds are expected to gust up to 50 MPH, diminishing in the
afternoon, but returning at night. In addition to the wind, low humidity
conditions are expected to continue long after the winds are gone.
The
combination of wind, warm temperatures and low humidity, along with critical
fuels create explosive fire growth potential in the mountains and valleys of
most of Southern California.
The Red Flag Warning is
expected to last through 11 p.m.
Friday.
