Team Captains and members of this year’s American Cancer Society SCV Relay For Life held in Central Park on May 22-23 have until Tuesday, also known as “Incentive Night”, to turn in additional money and still be able to qualify for incentive prizes starting at the $250 level.
Relay for Life is a 24-hour event held to support cancer victims, celebrate survivors of cancer, and also raise money to help American Cancer Society fund research of cancer and programs for cancer patients. Participants of the Relay For Life commit to raise at least $100 and relay the track for all 24 hours but guests can go just to enjoy food and entertainment.
The event total stood at $448,724 as of May 29, but the Relay Committee hopes to reach $600,000 by the end of the fiscal year.
Money can be turned in at the American Cancer Society office, 25020 Avenue Stanford, Valencia, during daily office hours or money can be turned in from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday.
