Relay For Life Success To Be Celebrated At Luau

Luau will present awards, and celebrate the success of last month's Relay for Life.
Team captains, co-captains, committee members and special guests who helped make the American Cancer Society’s 2007 SCV Relay For Life a rousing success will celebrate their victory with a luau-themed awards banquet Wednesday, July 18, at Hart Hall in Newhall.

The evening will start with dinner and presentation of awards at 6 p.m., followed by an opportunity for teams to register early for the 2008 event. The first teams to register not only receive a $50 per campsite Early Bird registration fee price break, but also have the best opportunity to select the campsite of their choice for next June’s event.

Relay is run by an all-volunteer committee, and local residents who would like to help plan the 2008 event can sign up at the awards banquet or respond online at the Relay Web site.
