Rent-A-Santa Program Delivers Season’s Greetings

Zonta Club fundraiser to share spirit of giving and St. Nick too.

The Christmas season is all about sharing. Everything from the seat by the fire to the change in your pocket to the last slice of pie gets divided up to bring joy to others. We even share the embodiment of the Christmas spirit himself, Santa Claus. Once again this holiday season, community members have a chance to borrow the Big Guy through the Zonta Club of SCV’s Rent-A-Santa program.

For a tax-deductible donation, Santa will drop in for a jolly appearance at your home, business, or community party. He may even bring along Mrs. Claus and some of his elves to help spread holiday cheer.

Don’t worry about long-distance charges for calling the North Pole, you can plan your visit from Saint Nicholas by calling Barbara Stearns-Cochran at 661-251-1352. Visits can be scheduled for $100 for one hour, and $150 for up to two. Musical accompaniment can also be rented for $50. All contributions support Zonta community service projects.

DISCLAIMER: Rent-A-Santas are not Santa Claus. They are his helpers who spread the spirit of joy and giving around the world so that Santa can have time to finish preparing for Christmas Eve. Their resemblance to Santa Claus is purely festive imitation, not felonious impersonation. If you would like to help old Claus out in this way, call Barbara Stearns-Cochran at 661-251-1352.
