Board members for 2011 will be installed at the monthly meeting of Santa Clarita Republican Women Federated (SCRWF) at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 14, at IHOP, 24737 Pico Canyon Rd., in Stevenson Ranch. Lunch is $13, and guests are welcome. Official business will be followed by a “Mingle All the Way” party.

Patricia McKeon, wife of Congressman Buck McKeon, will officiate at the installation and provide a short “insider” report from Washington , DC .

Officers to be installed for the new year include Lynn “Pepper” Parkinson, President; Becca Keating, 1st Vice President–Programs; Devon Cormier, 2nd Vice President–Legislation; Paige Weaver, 3rd Vice President–Membership; Barbara Barrick, 4th Vice President–Editor; Barbara Drake, Secretary; and Lois Woodruff, Treasurer.

Following Mrs. McKeon’s talk, SCRWF President Lynn Parkinson will announce five honors recently awarded to SCRWF by Los Angeles County Republican Women Federated:

• Club Champion Diamond Award for overall excellence
• Voter Registration, 1st place
• Newsletter, 2nd place
• Membership, Certificate of Excellence
• Volunteer Hours, 2nd place (Club members logged 13,000 volunteer hours last year on behalf of the Republican Party and charitable organizations in the community).

These accolades follow on the heels of two prestigious awards presented to SCRWF by California Federated Republican Women–Southern Division: 1st place for Voter Registration and 3rd place for Membership.
