Deputies called after harassment

[view:node_ad=5]Two Deputies arrested eight Newhall men and one juvenile on gang related loitering charges after contacting them in the 24000 block of Arch Street.

The deputies were patrolling the area and were flagged down by a concerned resident who said she and her daughter had been harassed and intimidated by the individuals as they walked in the area. Some of the individuals reportedly blocked their path, began shouting gang related slang and refused to let them pass.

The deputies spotted the individuals loitering nearby and detained them. All nine individuals were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on misdemeanor charges of Loitering by Street Gang Members. They were later released on citations pending future court proceedings
