Residents Encouraged To Offer Insight On New Library Design

Community workshop planned.

[view:node_ad=5]The city of Santa Clarita is inviting residents to a community workshop regarding the design of a new library planned for downtown Newhall.

The workshop will take place Wednesday, August 20th from 6:00 pm to 9:00pm in Hart Hall, located in William S. Hart Park.

City officials are hoping that residents will use the evening to offer their feedback and opinions as the library project moves into its conceptual design phase.

LPA architecture firm has been brought on by the city to complete the project. The firm showcases a number of designs including the Mission Viejo Library, City of Orange Main Library, and the Temecula Library. The firm also specializes in designing environmentally friendly and sustainable “green” buildings.

“The addition of the Downtown Newhall Library will serve to shape the future of Old Town Newhall, as well as the future of our local youth, who should benefit greatly from the access they will have to a modern and innovative facility,” said Alex Hernandez, City Administrative Analyst.

If you have questions prior to the community workshop, contact Alex Hernandez, City Administrative Analyst at (661) 286-4030.
