Rocky Horror Show Raises Curtain

Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show will be playing several engagements at the COC Performing Arts Center this month.

The cult classic made it’s debut at The Roxy in Los Angeles in 1974, and has spawned countless stage productions and a major motion picture. Friday, October 20th will kick off the series with a costume contest at 8:00pm, followed by the performance at 8:30. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children, although the show’s content may not be suitable for those under 18.

Rocky Horror Show is an interactive play where audience participation is encouraged; ranging from shouting lines to throwing rice and bread at the actors. These audience “props” are usually brought to the theater by the patrons, however the performances at COC will not allow outside bags or props inside. Approved audience participation kits will be available for purchase once in the door, for a cost of $5.

Other dates:

Saturday October 21st, at 8:00pm.

Sunday October 22nd, at 2:00pm.

Friday October 27th, at 8:00pm.

Saturday October 28th, 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
