Ronda Chobanian, Development Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita, said while last year’s event was held to promote the Club’s annual auction, any funds raised from this year’s ride will be given to the organization.
“[The ride] was not really a fundraiser last year, but was done to promote last year’s auction with the theme of ‘Born To Be Wild.’ It is not clear how much money will be made, but anything above the costs will be given to the Boys and Girls Club,” Chobanian said.
The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita is a local branch of the non-profit organization and serves 2,700 young people at its three local locations. According to the Club’s mission statement, their goal is to aid youth in need in becoming productive, caring and responsible citizens.
Along with the motorcycle ride and admission to the park, participants in Magic Ride II will be eligible for raffle prizes and live music will be performed by LEE and The Real Deal. The event begins at 10 a.m. at Six Flags and will end at 9 p.m.
