All the excitement of a royal fashion show arrives close to home for Santa Clarita Valley residents on Sunday, October 23, as the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Guild presents its 27th Annual Fashion Show at the Sheraton Universal Hotel with featured designer Lourdes Chavez, famed for her elegant and sophisticated creations often worn by Hollywood’s most famous stars.

Inspired by the royal wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate, a “Royal Fashion Show,” will be produced by Carin Holmenas, complete with professional models and a full-size runway. The highly-anticipated show will feature designer fashion lines themed to the royal court of Buckingham Palace complete with a wedding gown and royal hats, according to Shelley Hann, chairwoman of the fundraising event.

Holmenas offered a sneak peak at the upcoming royal fashion show which will feature the Royal Collection by Lourdes Chavez Couture. Additional participating designers includes:  Royal Hats by Anne Albright; Royal Handbags by M.Andonia; Royal Furs from Edwards-Lowell; Men’s Wear by J. David’s Custom Clothiers; Children’s Couture by Belle of the Ball; and a bridal gown by Ali Rahimi for Mon Atelier.

“I felt in a way that holding a royal-themed event close to Santa Clarita would be like bringing the royal wedding here,” Hann said. “Everyone is always delighted by the shows produced by Carin Holmenas, along with the designer fashions, and this year will be no exception.”

The annual fundraising event benefits Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s laboratory services—a service that impacts the care of every patient. Since its inception in 1984, the fashion show has raised more than $1 million to support hospital services and ensure our patients have access to quality care.

Tickets for the fashion show are $90 per person and include entry to the specialty boutique, delectable luncheon, and glamorous fashion show. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sheraton Universal Hotel, 333 Universal Hollywood Drive, Universal City.
