Rubber Ducky Festival Winners Announced

The Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers Inc. officials announced the winners for the 2014 Rubber Ducky Festival, including the $2,500 grand prize.

The 12th annual Rubber Ducky Festival on Oct. 4 drew hundreds of Santa Clarita residents.

“Almost 3,000 rubber ducks raced down a man-made waterway in Bridgeport Park towards great prizes,” according to event officials. 

The winners, according to officials with the event, are:

Grand Prize Winner:  $2,500 – Marcia Terry 

2nd Place: $1,500 – Michelle Berry

3rd Place: $500 – Gilda Calove

4th Place: Hilton Garden Inn Staycation & 2 Marie Callender’s Dinners – Steve Dixon

5th Place: Four dinners at Marie Callender’s – Audrey Hampton 

6th Place: $100 Target Gift Card – Steve Doyle

7th Place: 1 Hour Certificate for a balloon artist from Mad Cap Balloons – Manuel Partida

8th Place: 1 Hour Certificate for Face Painting for a party – Elliot O’Niel 

Early Ducky 1 Drawing: Disneyland four, one day park hopper passes – Chris Ball

Early Ducky 2 Drawing:Salon Centric $300 Beauty Basket – Michelle Benfraj

All proceeds from the event goes directly to provide patient care at SDFHC’s three health centers here in the Santa Clarita Valley. Thank you for your participation and support of SDFHC, according to a news release.

About Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, Inc. 

Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers was established in 1980 and named for long-time Val Verde resident and minister, the late Reverend Samuel Dixon. As the only non-profit health center founded and based in the Santa Clarita Valley, SDFHC serves the greater Santa Clarita Valley and is governed by a local board of directors, all of whom are Santa Clarita residents.
