On Tuesday, January 25 at its regular meeting, the City Council will present former Senator George Runner with a Key to the City for his past service in California’s 17th District, which includes Santa Clarita.  

Runner vacated his Senate seat late last year after winning the November election to join the state’s Board of Equalization.

Runner will be recognized at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.  

Wife and former Assemblywoman Sharon Runner as well as the City Council will be present.
