Kettle bell ringers needed to raise funds for SCV services
[view:node_ad=5]Its no surprise to see the Salvation Army out and about during the holidays, standing by their kettles, ringing a bell, and collecting donations. After all, they’ve been doing it for over 100 years.
It’s the biggest fundraiser for the Salvation Army, and it happens in many cities and towns across the nation.
This year however, the local Salvation Army is finding itself a little short of volunteers.
“Any group or individual who would like to get out there, meet the public and do some good, we’d love to have them,” said June Loo, Director of the Service Extension Program for the Salvation Army’s Santa Clarita operations.
Dating back to November 19th, Salvation Army kettles have been set up at all three local Walmarts, one Vons, and at Macys.
