Sand Canyon Horse Dies Of West Nile Virus

Santa Clarita, CA. – A 28-year old stallion owned by the Maycott family died this week from the West Nile Virus.

The death took place in the Lost Canyon area of Sand Canyon, in Canyon Country. The Maycott’s owned the horse since he was born.

The stud was not vaccinated. THERE IS A VACCINATION FOR HORSES FOR THE WEST NILE VIRUS! Sadly, not for humans yet.

Please check with your veterinarians before it is too late.

It is our understanding that dogs do not catch this virus.
