“Members of the Artists’ Association helped in getting this new gallery location ready.  We painted, laid new floor tiles, put up new ceiling tiles.” said Idelle Tyzbir, a member of the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association and contributor to the last show.

Several local artists presented their artwork in this new gallery with more than 20 pieces of art.

“I’m new to the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association and I have been painting for ten years.  I love how our gallery has a lot of bright colors.” said Meryl Goudey, a member of the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association and contributor to the last show.  “We have oil paint, acrylic, sculpture, photography, and many other things on display.”

The next exhibit to be opened in this location is titled “Four Seasons” and will open July 12th with an open reception July 19th from 6 p.m. through 9 p.m.

“It was a lot of work but it’s nice for us to have somewhere to display our work.  We don’t know how long we will have this location, but we are excited to have it,” Tyzbir said.

Another exhibit that will be open on July 9 is “A Summer Art Festival” that will be located at the Tournament Players Club in Valencia and will run through July 13.

“I think it’s fabulous that the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association has this gallery because there are a lot of artists in this community.  To be able to share one’s work, well that’s great,” said Linda Skbarna, a local art fan.
