A new art show, “Joy of Art” is coming to Santa Clarita on Friday, November 8 at the Gallery in Westfield Mall.

The reception from 6 to 9 p.m. is free to attend and is hosted by the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association.
The new art gallery will run through to January 5, 2014.
The Joy of Art reception is a collection of local artists’ whose passion and enthusiasm will be showcased and celebrated during the opening reception.
Attendees will see art from all different styles and unique artists.
“Throughout the holiday season we will have for sale jewelry, gift items, custom greeting cards from local artists, prints and economically-priced small originals, all in a broad range of styles,” said Norma Warden, gallery chairwoman.
The Joy of Art show and reception welcomes all of the community to visit the new exhibit and enjoy the different types of art created by local artists.
Attendees will enjoy refreshments including hors d’oeuvres, wine, cheese and other assortments being served during the reception.
The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association just finished celebrating their 24th Annual Art Classic Exhibition on Oct. 19.
Guests can expect to view all types of creative art pieces on display and also available for purchase.
“We have art at all price levels and we have a lot of original art from a lot of different artists. We have over 150 artists in our club. Lots of variety. It’s fun to look at art and how people interpret different subjects,” said Olga Kaczmar, graphic artist and advertising manager.
Many of the local artists will be in attendance, showcasing their art and engaging with the crowd.
Visit the Gallery of SCAA at 24251 Town Center Dr., Suite 155 in Valencia (a few doors away from Pottery Barn).
Open hours are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4 to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 7 p.m..
