Residents will be asked to share their thoughts and ideas on city services, local issues and the types of amenities they would like to see in Santa Clarita.

“We are hoping to get the communities thoughts and ideas on the Cities plans over the next three to five years, more specifically amenities in this valley,” says Gail Morgan, city spokeswoman.

This survey happens every two years, and in 2012, the city “gained important feedback on the communities interest in more recreational facilities,” Morgan said.

“Because of the response on the survey, the city is opening up two more fields and a tennis complex at Central Park,” she added.
The poll will be conducted via telephone and online at santa-clarita.com/survey

Santa Clarita officials are inviting residents to take part in a public opinion poll to help shape the future of Santa Clarita.

Every two years, the city of Santa Clarita conducts a statistically valid telephone poll to learn what residents think about city services.

“The city of Santa Clarita was founded on the principle of providing an open and non bureaucratic government that is receptive and responsive to the needs of the community,” said Mayor Laurene Weste.

The 2014 survey also calls residents to weigh in on future plans for Santa Clarita, which will impact city planning for the next three to five years.

“That commitment stands today, and the public survey provides another way for residents to speak up about what they want to see and do in the city, weigh in on current services, and play an active role in shaping Santa Clarita”, said Mayor Weste.
