The Santa Clarita Summer Beach Bus begins service to Santa Monica Beach on June 18.
Fares are $3 round trip for all children and adults under the age of 62, and $1.50 round trip for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Children under 12 can take the Summer Beach Bus only if they are accompanied by a fare-paying parent or guardian.
This program is financed with funds provided by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich and the City of Santa Clarita.
“The air-conditioned, wheelchair-accessible buses provide convenient transportation to Santa Monica Beach on Saturdays during the hot summer months,” said Supervisor Antonovich.
Passengers can board the Summer Beach Bus at Val Verde Park on San Martinez Road at Parker Street; at McBean Transfer Station located at the intersection of Valencia Boulevard and McBean Parkway; or Richard Rioux Memorial Park on Faulkner Drive in Stevenson Ranch.
