Santa Clarita will host its own version of the hit TV show “Dancing with the Stars” called “Dancing With Our Stars” to raise money for local non-profit organizations.
[view:node_ad=5]Twelve prominent figures from Santa Clarita will be paired up with local dance instructors to via for a chance to be the valleys best dancers.
The couples will dance in front of three judges including celebrity judge Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
“This is a great, fun and innovative idea,” said Tameka Payne a dancer in the competition. “I didn’t realize how hard it was, when you watch people who have all the experience you take it for granted and not really realizing how much work it really is. “
The dancers will perform on behalf of a non-profit of their choice and all the money will be divvied up between the first, second and third place finishers to go towards those organizations.

Dieehma Thompsonis for the Jack and Jill of America Foundation
Ken Striplin for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation
Dr. Patrick Robbie for the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers
Moe Hafizi for the Santa Clarita Senior Centers
Jacquie Peterson for Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley
