Santa Clarita Deputies Investigate Knifepoint Robbery At 7-11

Santa Clarita Valley deputies are investigating a knifepoint robbery at a 7-11 Thursday, after officials received a call from a customer in the store during the robbery.

Sheriff’s Station deputies received a call at 6:37 a.m. from a customer inside the 7-11 on Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway in Santa Clarita, officials said.

A man reportedly came into the store with a shirt or bandana wrapped around his face, wielding a knife and demanding the store clerk give him money from the cash register.

The robber apparently was unaware a customer was in the store, and the person immediately called the Sheriff’s Station to report the crime.

Deputies arrived at 6:40 a.m., according to officials, but the suspect had already fled the scene.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Sheriff’s Station deputies were still at the scene investigating, as of about 9 a.m. Thursday, looking for any potential fingerprint evidence and  security camera footage that might be available, officials said.

The suspect was last seen running toward an apartment complex on the 27500 block of Sierra Highway.

No further information about the suspect is being released at this time.

  1. Police cannot be everywhere at once. Duly trained and licensed concealed carrying private citizens are everywhere at once. These crimes can be avoided. The licensed gun owner doesn’t need to kill the criminal, but at close range can disable him.

Unfortunately, gun toting legislators like Feinstein, or legislators who have armed body guards of course don’t see it that way. After all, they are protected. And we know how little they think of us when it’s not during the polls.
