Stephanie Weiss, the host of Families In Action – heard Mondays at Noon offers these tips for your kids:
- Talk to your kids about how they are feeling.
- Remember, ask them what scares them the most.
- Listen to them and answer all questions.
- Remember, when the crisis and fear is gone for you, your kids may still be fearful.
Have a family plan and talk about fire safety:
- Upstairs and downstairs meeting places.
- Have a list of important phone numbers that each family member has.
- Make sure your family has an emergency meeting place outside your home.
